Armature
Armature is the integral component of ferro-concrete designs intended for amplification of concrete, perceiving stretching (less often — compressing) efforts. The steel flexible armature is applied as separate cores or welded grids and skeletons; sometimes — rigid armature (rolling two-Tauris, channels)
The steel armature for reinforcing ferro-concrete designs is subdivided:
on manufacturing techniques:
- cold-rolled rod
- cold-drawn wire
on conditions of application in ferro-concrete:
- strained
- not strained
on character of a structure:
- smooth
- a periodic structure
Rod armature of GOST 5781-82
Depending on mechanical characteristics the rod armature is subdivided into classes A-I, A-II, A-III, A-IV, A-V, A-VI.
A I – cores smooth
A-II, A-III, A-IV – a periodic structure
Armature wire:
class B-1 cold-drawn low-carbon a wire intended for not strained armature class B-II a cold-drawn carbonaceous steel wire, intended for strained armature
